Super Mario World: Bowser’s Returns is a custom ROM hack of Super Mario World for the SNES where you take control of Mario in an all-new journey across multiple worlds after Bowser comes back to reclaim power. Each level has altered platform patterns, custom enemy placements, and redesigned terrain using original graphics and sound from the SNES engine. You move through forests, castles, and caves while collecting power-ups and locating secret exits. Mid-level checkpoints and new boss arenas appear throughout the adventure, and some stages include environmental hazards like auto-scrolling paths, disappearing blocks, or spike-filled ceilings.
